The Job and Settlement Services Help Unit (JASH) Unit can give you information about services to help you to settle in Australia.

For example we can:

  • organise information sessions about life in Australia with guest speakers from government and community organisations
  • provide interpreters at the information sessions to help you understand the information in your language
  • help you find and use the services you need to live in Adelaide
  • provide information on:
    -  tax
    -  getting your driver's licence
    -  sending money overseas and in Australia
    -  health and dental services
    -  housing
    -  public holidays
    -  legal services, making a will
    -  insurance
    -  telephone
    -  citizenship
    -  buying a second hand car
    -  living economically in Adelaide

Who can use the Job and Settlement Help Unit Services?


If you are eligible for the Adult Migrant English Program and studying at ELS you can use this service free of charge.

When can you use the Service?

The Service is available Monday to Friday 9.00 - 5.00pm, except for Public Holidays and between Christmas and New Year.

Some evening appointments are available.
